The Chapecó Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACIC), promoter of MERCOAGRO, announces the postponement of the event due to various reasons.

After recurring requests, the local administration has decided to build a larger and more modern pavilion at the Tancredo Neves Exposition Park, where MERCOAGRO takes place. The current pavilions 1 and 2 will be demolished and replaced by a new one; an investment of over 20 million reais.

The construction project is finished and the allocation of costs guaranteed, which resulted in the local government calling off all fairs and events scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. It is a mandatory decision that involves postponing most of the city calendar, but that will ensure extraordinary and permanent enhancements at the exposition park.

Therefore, ACIC and the Chapecó Municipal Board have decided to transfer the MERCOAGRO's 13th edition to September 13th to 16th, 2022, when all structures will be ready to hold Latin America's premier meat industry fair.

Also, the Covid-19 numbers indicate a control of the pandemic by the second semester of 2022. Nevertheless, ACIC will follow all authorities' guidelines regarding prevention, in order to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of those involved.

As widely known, the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak forced the postponing of all trade shows, obeying the Federal Law 14.046/2021 (and its subsequent 14.186/2021).

The fair's commercial department will contact all exhibitors in due time to guide and assist in every aspect. ACIC, Mercoagro and their partners are committed to sustaining the fair's historical credibility as a premier business experience and thankful for your support and understanding.
